The Junior Tough Guy & Gal Challenge is known to the Milford School students as the Mud Run due to that literally being what it’s about.
Last year, a group of keen students went out to Woodhill Sands Equestrian Centre to participate in the Junior Tough Guy & Gal Challenge; it was such a wet, cold and muddy day but the children just LOVED it! If you are interested in registering your child, please complete the google form by Friday 31st March to ensure that we get a space as there are limited spots. The date of the event that Milford School will attend is 28th June 2017, though we need to have our school entry in early to confirm places. The cost for entry is $21 and can be paid via the online shop. We will need assistance with transport for the day to Woodhill and back to school; please indicate on the google form if you are able to assist. Last year, the event was completed and with children back at school by the end of lunch for the afternoon block aside from the ones who wanted to head home to shower. Cure Kids is proud to be the official charity for the Junior Tough Guy & Gal series in 2017! Cure Kids funds research into better treatments and cures for health conditions that affect our children. Last year Tough Guy & Gal participants raised an incredible $51,000 for Cure Kids. Their goal is to hit $60,000 in 2017, but to do that we need your help! You can get involved by donating to Cure Kids on registration, or getting your school on board to fundraise. Every person who raises $100 will receive a FREE Cure Kids t-shirt. Taking part in the Tough Guy & Gal series for Cure Kids is more than putting on your runners and having an awesome day out, it’s helping improve the health of kiwi kids.
