The Milford School Parent Teachers Association (PTA) is a group of parents who come together to support the school in providing the best for all children.

 The PTA movement provides a means for parents and the school to build a successful partnership, based on the best interests of our children. By getting involved in the work of your PTA, parents, teachers and children benefit from the knowledge and insight shared.

Some examples of PTA activities are:

  • Fundraising
  • Discos
  • Second-hand uniform sales
  • New parent morning teas and get togethers

The PTA meetings are usually held twice a term in the school staffroom. Everyone is welcome to attend these meetings, which are advertised in the schools weekly newsletter.

Friends of the PTA – Members of the school community who would like to be kept updated on PTA activity, and help out where and when they can.

PTA Grants Requests – Over the years, the PTA has been responsible for contributing significant donations towards improving the well-being of the school community.  To provide guidance for future donations we are inviting teachers, parents and children to submit a grant form (attached below) with your ideas. Once a completed grant form has been received, it will be reviewed and discussed at the next PTA grants meeting.   So put your thinking caps on – help your PTA help you.

Top quality re-usable eco-friendly shopping bags – only $5/bag

These top quality re-usable eco-friendly shopping bags, are a great idea that supports our Enviroschool philosophy. The money raised will be used to enhance the area in front of our new Library and classroom build with shade and seating. This building is expected to be completed in September, and we are keen to have a lovely area for the children to be in.
Just a reminder that the fundraiser ends on Tuesday 2nd May. This gives you the holidays to get out there to sell to family, friends, work colleagues and neighbours. These bags are super useful for shopping , swimming togs, library books. Fill it with Easter eggs, and give it as a gift.
