Yr 3 & 4 MissilesWe finished the final basketball games last Friday. Unfortunately, we did not win the last game, but kids enjoyed the game. During the whole year time, we see the amazing improvement in the kids. At the beginning, they did not know how to play the games at all. Now they know the game’s rules, they built up their skills, they learned to organize attacks and learned to defend, they learned to work as a team. As a parent, we can see they improved each week. They won the friendship, they won teamwork, they learned basketball skills, and they had a nice experience. I am so proud of the kids! My son David is looking forward to next year’s games! – Eileen Ren (parent)

Year 3/4 Meteors @ Harbour Basketball Term 4 2017:Yr 3 & 4 Meteors 2nd in final.jpgThe Milford Meteors (year 3/4 basketball team) ended up placing 2nd in their grade at the Harbour Basketball module . The players were each presented with a medal at the prize giving following their final game. As you can imagine, their smiles were very wide. The boys have come such a long way as a team this year, and their skill level has really sky rocketed. All the parents have been so impressed with the progress, and know that enormous thanks is due to Coach Steve White for all the time, energy and basketball “know how” he has invested in the team. They’re a lucky group of kids! – Jacqui Roberts (Manager)

Year 5/6 Storm @ Harbour Basketball Term 4 2017:Yr 5 & 6 Storm 3rd in finalThe Year 5/6 Boy’s Milford Storm, came third overall in their division at the Junior Breakers.  If there were prizes for most improved team I really believe that they would have won that. They started the year with very few players having played basketball before, and with not many of the players knowing each other. This semester they have received coaching from a member of the Junior Breakers and this has led to the team becoming not only better basketball players, but the improvement in their team work has been nothing short of amazing.  The team worked incredibly well together to gain a fantastic result of which all the parents and family supporters were incredibly proud.  The photo below is of the boys celebrating with ice-creams after the game.  It was very well deserved! – Cara Jonkers (parent)
